About United Partners for Human Services
United Partners for Human Services (UPHS) is a coalition of human service providers and supporting partners
working together to improve the delivery of human services in the Big Bend. Membership driven, UPHS is
committed to providing a unified voice for human service agencies in our community. We are rapidly expanding
with a membership base consisting of over 90 agencies, associations, and companies. Our members meet several
times each year in a variety of formats, to discuss important issues facing not-for-profits and human service
providers. UPHS members are proud of our strong collegial relationships and are committed to maintaining that
atmosphere.
Our Vision
United Partners for Human Service has a vision in which all of our human service agencies are working
collaboratively and cooperatively to provide the maximum benefit to the citizens of our community. We
also foresee a future in which human service agencies have the ability to strengthen their accountability
to the community, and increase the effectiveness of their services by having access to the highest quality
instruction on the most cutting edge topics in nonprofit management that are available. And we envision
our community increasing its dialogue around the contribution that human service organizations make to
he quality of life - not just as the healers and helpers of people, but as an economic driver of the
community.
